As a Key Account Sales Engineer, you will fulfil a central function and play a key role in the success of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Head of Ashimori Europe in the operational and strategic management of new interior and safety-relevant products and technologies for our German automotive OEM customers
• Being a competent contact person for our customers, presenting customized products and solutions and identifying new business opportunities
• Establishing a professional, working, and consultative relationship with our customers by developing a core understanding of the individual business needs
• Planning, organizing, optimizing, and directing business activities to drive and achieve set targets
• Keeping an eye on maximizing our success and define appropriate measures for project proceeding
• Implementing quotation requirements by analysing specifications and tenders
• Preparing and following up on offers through to project negotiations
• Working closely with our Development Team in the Japanese Headquarter, adopting, and optimizing the product design according to customer’s requirements
• Management and controlling/monitoring of the development project and schedule in cooperation with our global production facilities
• Being the product expert and responsible for the acquisition of new customers and product promotion to expand our European business
• Continuous monitoring of the market and competitors in Europe (market research)

Requirements / Your Profile:

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, or comparable qualification
• 4 to 5 years of experience ideally in the automotive sector or other industry
• Expertise in the field of engineering, including practical experience from managing international projects
• Analytical skills
• Motivation, strong communication skills, assertiveness, and strong social and intercultural skills
• Independent and results-orientated approach
• Fluent in spoken and written English and German (additional foreign language skills such as Japanese are of advantage)
• Willingness and flexibility to travel inside Germany
• Ideally, you are based in the Stuttgart area or willing to relocate
